Speaking different languages, the I-Cube System is the new interpreter (alternative sound controller) in the musicland of MIDI. The I-CUBE translates control voltages (0 to 5V) from sensors into MIDI messages.
Two sensors of the standard package respond to illumination;
the other four respond to contact pressure, temperature, close
proximity, and rotation angle.
You plug in a sensor - there are 32 different types including
those to capture body heat, distance, touch - and it creates
meaningful MIDI data out of the information it receives.
